Art in a Bag!
Every journey begins with a single step. The concept of this participation piece is finding inspiration in anything even a paper clip, and what can come out of that inspiration. I want to challenge the person who gets one of these little packages to create a work of art centering around its contents. I want people to think outside the box. Bend the paper clip to make a miniature sculpture, or use the paperclip as a nontraditional paintbrush, or use it to hold pieces together are some examples of what can happen with just a little bit of bent wire. Painting, sculpture, photography, jewelery...it all depends on what door the artist wants to walk through.
When the artist is finished I would like them to share their creation on the New World Gallery website by e-mailing an image to nwgsatellite@gmail.com with the title, artist name, media, and size. The images and information will be exhibited in the special section devoted to the "Art in a Bag." Everyone is an artist, so I want them to be able to create and show their creation with as little hassle as possible!
Inspire others by inspiring yourself!
The first series of packages being released to the public contains one paper clip, but the next edition to be released will contain something different.
Create!
